DO NOT form a guild. Unless you have at least 10 friends who play on a regular basis, it will be an exercise in frustration. My guild has more than 30 people who are never on. Some have actually spent the last 6 months or more, logging in every couple of weeks so they won't be kicked from the guild and immediately logging off again.
Go to the Guild Connections section, post a thread in Looking For a Guild, and read a few pages of Guild Looking For. Be clear that you are new and looking for help and people to play along.

I formed a Guild just for my account only. I find it a good way to spend left over cash to buy the merchant etc and my choice was the Wizard's Isle so it brings back some of the scenery from pre-sear. I never had people join as it seemed too much responsibility and a hassle.

and yes running a guild well well is hard work, if you think you can do that why not join an established guild and help out the officer team? |
